Five Family Friendly Activities in Vegas this Weekend: August 8-10, 2025

As summer winds down and the school year approaches, Las Vegas offers a final weekend packed with family-friendly fun to help kids make lasting memories. Whether you're looking for educational experiences, outdoor adventures, or pure entertainment, Vegas has plenty of exciting options to celebrate the end of summer in style!


1. Danny Go! Live!

Danny Go! Live! brings its high-energy, interactive kids’ show to Lee's Family Forum on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Known for its vibrant mix of music, movement, and silly fun, Danny Go! is a YouTube sensation created by three childhood friends from North Carolina that has grown into a nationwide phenomenon.

The live show features beloved characters like Danny, Bear Head, and Pap Pap, and is designed to get kids ages 3–7 dancing, learning, and laughing. With ticket prices starting at $37 and a showtime of 5 PM, this one-of-a-kind experience promises unforgettable family entertainment that encourages audience participation and joy from start to finish.

Lee’s Family Forum is located in Henderson near the Green Valley Resort and Casino. There are plenty of places nearby to grab dinner before the show. One of our favorites is Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana next door. They even have gluten-free options!


2. Adventuredome @ Circus Circus

This weekend marks the final days of summer pricing at Circus Circus Adventuredome, Las Vegas’s iconic indoor amusement park. Spanning five acres, the Adventuredome offers over 25 rides and attractions for all ages. You and your family can also enjoy a climbing wall, mini-golf, a video arcade, and a 4D theater. The newest ride, NebulaZ, delivers high-flying spins and stunning views of the park. With summer pricing ending after this weekend, now is the perfect time to take advantage of discounted admission and enjoy a full day of excitement under one climate-controlled roof.

Guests who purchase one regular 48 inch or taller wristband at Adventuredome will receive four under 48-inch wristbands for free!

3. Pop-Up Science: Minecraft Rocks!

Visit the Ice Age Fossils State Park and chat with a park ranger about the rocks in Minecraft vs. what we see in real life. Kids can see and touch objects or replicas and share what they know as they discuss the topic. This event is scheduled for Sunday, August 10th, 9-11 am.

Ice Age Fossils State Park spans 315 acres. The park sits atop one of the richest Ice Age fossil beds in the U.S., once home to now-extinct giants like Columbian mammoths, dire wolves, saber-toothed cats, and giant ground sloths. So there is plenty to explore after the Park Ranger chat!


4. Rainforest Adventure @ Science & Natural History Museum

This is the last weekend for the Rainforest Adventure exhibit at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum - it closes on August 10th. This interactive traveling exhibit guides you through the four layers of the rainforest.

Designed as a maze, you’ll navigate pathways by answering ecological questions, with correct answers leading deeper into the rainforest and wrong turns offering “teachable moments.” Activities include swinging like spider monkeys, testing your leap against rainforest frogs, identifying rainforest-derived products by scent, and learning about bird migration hazards!

On Saturday and Sunday you can also create your own bamboo shark with guest artist Vanessa Maciel in a hands-on paper mâché workshop,


5. Brick Planet @ Springs Preserve

Brick Planet at Springs Preserve in Las Vegas is a dazzling exhibit that blends the magic of LEGO® art with the wonder of science and nature. Open Thursday through Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until September 8, 2025, this immersive experience features the visionary work of artist Sean Kenney, whose vibrant sculptures depict ecosystems from the Arctic to the savanna, forests, and even underwater worlds.

There is a great cafe at Springs Preserve and plenty of other activities - you can spend the whole day here! Be sure to ride the train to Boomtown too.
