Even if your family members aren’t old enough to participate in Vegas’s traditional gaming, there’s still plenty of gaming fun to be had! Vegas has lots of unique game rooms, escape rooms, arcades, and amusement rides! Your family can do everything from experience the latest video games to playing old-school midway games. You can also see Vegas high in the sky from various amusement rides, including rollercoasters and ziplines.
1. HyperX Arena
Price Range: $-$$ | Website
The Luxor Hotel has dedicated 30,000 square feet for a professional eSports arena. This is an awesome space for any gaming enthusiast and is open most days for anyone to visit and play.
The cost to play is per hour. HyperX has some guest accounts for games like Fortnite, but keep in mind that usually players need their own Steam account and will need to purchase the games they want to play.
It is great to be able to play these games on state-of-the-art computer/gaming systems. The setting is also amazing - you get to play in the arena that is often featured on streaming channels and professional tournaments!
Be sure to check the online calendar as availability can change based on special events.
2. The Adventuredome

For more than 30 years, The Adventuredome has been a family favorite in Las Vegas. It’s a large indoor amusement park featuring various attractions, rides, and entertainment options - there’s something for everyone in the family!
The price for the wristband is based on height. A Junior Pass is available for anyone under 48”. In addition to the rides, there are arcade games, a 4-D immersive experience theater, midway games, rock climbing, and clown shows.
You do want to keep in mind that recently the property was listed for sale, which means many of the rides are no longer being upgraded, and several have closed. Check out recent reviews before you decide whether or not you want to fit this attraction into your vacation schedule!
This is an indoor attraction that includes roller coasters and other amusement park rides. It can be very loud, especially for younger children. Consider bringing headphones if your child is sensitive to noise.
3. The Big Apple Coaster & Arcade

The Big Apple Coaster is a thrilling roller coaster ride set above the famous Las Vegas Strip at the New York-New York Hotel. The views are spectacular! The rollercoaster is often featured in television shows or movies set in Vegas.
With speeds over 67 mph, this coaster features the world's first 180-degree “heartline” twist and dive maneuver with a 203-foot drop. All riders must be at least 54” tall.
After the ride, the fun continues in the Big Apple Arcade. Here you will find classic midway games like Skee-Ball, traditional arcade games including Air Hockey, and fun video games.
The entrance is located on the back side of the property. If you enter from the parking garage, you do not have to go through the casino.
4. Fun Dungeon
If you are looking for a good old-fashioned arcade, the Fun Dungeon fits the bill!
There are over 200 games, including multiple Carnival Midway and KiddieLand Games, traditional arcade games, sports games like Slam N Jam Basketball, a Virtual Reality King Kong, and over 100 ticket redemption games. At the end, you can redeem your tickets for some fun carnival prizes like the popular large teddy bear! The Fun Dungeon is also home to a Dairy Queen and an Orange Julius, the perfect pairing for an afternoon of arcade games
Cash is not accepted in any game. Before you start, get a reloadable card for game credits.
5. LINQ Promenade

The LINQ Promenade is home to two big amusement-type experiences: the High Roller and a Zip Line. The High Roller is a 550-foot-tall, 520-foot-diameter giant enclosed Ferris wheel. It is the largest observation wheel in North America and never stops moving, even when it’s closed!
One rotation takes approximately 30 minutes and provides breathtaking views of the city. It’s fun to do both during the day and at night, as the views are very different based on the light. All ages can ride the High Roller, and children under 4 are free.
The second attraction is the Fly LINQ Zipline. The Zipline begins 12 feet above the Las Vegas strip and runs through the LINQ Promenade, ending at the High Roller. Riders can reach speeds of 35 mph. There are height and weight restrictions for this attraction, so be sure to check those before adding this to your itinerary!

6. Escapology

Escape rooms are an international phenomenon. Did you know that there is at least one escape room in 44 countries around the world? Escape rooms can be a fun family bonding experience. Escapology at Town Square offers private escape room adventure featuring nine unique experiences, each lasting approximately one hour.
First you’ll choose your theme - with options from funny to spooky! Then when you arrive you will be briefed on your mission and “locked” into the escape room. You’ll have 60 minutes to escape with unlimited hints (if you want to use them), making this a fun family experience for all ages.
If you have younger children, consider signing up for “kid mode.” The escape room process is modified with younger players in mind. Young detectives are provided with a checklist and a walkie-talkie to stay in communication with the Game Master.
7. area 15
Price Range: FREE - $$$ | Website
Area 15 in an immersive amusement facility with more than 20 attractions, rides, and exhibits. These include everything from a Laser Maze to AR Dodgeball, Art Exhibits and Flight Simulators, Racing Sims, a Zip Line, and the famous Meow Wolf Mega Mart.
Each attraction is subject to its individual age, height, and weight requirements. However, there are plenty of activities for the entire family. You can spend a few hours here or an entire day if you want!
This popular attraction is also expanding. Universal Horror, a year-round haunted horror house, is currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2025. Additionally, this new Vegas Immersion District will include new restaurants, retail, and expansive art installations.
If you’re not sure what things you may want to experience, start by securing a Level 0 pass. This is free and allows you to roam and explore the facility via a self-guided scavenger hunt throughout AREA 15.
