eight Family Friendly Food options on the Las Vegas strip

On vacation, people often focus on the attractions or things to do. But in Vegas, food is an experience too! Vegas is home to a plethora of celebrity chefs who continue to raise the bar year after year. Las Vegas also loves a good themed restaurant!

Although there is something for everyone, not every place is for everyone. Many restaurants in Las Vegas have minimum age requirements and it’s unusual to find a kid’s menu. We’ve compiled a list of eight options that will welcome you and your whole family for a fun dining experience.

1. Hello Kitty Cafe

Price Range: $-$$ | Website

Hello Kitty is an iconic figure, recognized by kids and kids at heart around the world! There are two Hello Kitty Cafes in Las Vegas, so your little kitten can enjoy a wonderful Hello Kitty treat! One is located inside the Fashion Show Mall, and the other is located outside of MGM’s The Park Hotel & Casino.

The Hello Kitty Cafe, at both locations, has the same basic offerings. Each offers typical coffeehouse drinks, adorably decorated desserts, and plenty of swag. The drinks are served in Hello Kitty-branded cups, with pink straws for cold drinks or pink, kitty-adorned stirrers for hot drinks. The sweets include pastries, donuts, cookies, and soft serve at the Fashion Show Mall location.

After achieving your sugar rush, you will be inundated with Hello Kitty merch. You will find t-shirts, hoodies, pins, socks, squishes, and much more branded with the location name. When making your plan on which location to visit, keep in mind that the Park MGM location is outside and the Fashion Show Mall location is inside with more seating.

For more flexibility, consider visiting The Park MGM location as they have longer hours.

2. Rainforest Cafe

Your family will go wild for the Rainforest Cafe! It’s located on the Las Vegas Strip, at the corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Harmon Ave., in front of Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino.

First, they have a kids’ menu, which is a rarity in Las Vegas. They are open for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays and they serve lunch and dinner the rest of the week. The menu includes traditional American fare with some tropical-themed additions. Kids will be entertained by the decorative jungle atmosphere with talking animals. While there, check out Tracy the Talking Tree and the Rainforest Cafe Retail Village.

After your meal, you can pop next door and check out the amazing candy store at the Sugar Factory.

3. Hell’s Kitchen

Price Range: $$-$$$ | Website

If your family loves binge-watching Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen, now it is your turn to see it up close and personal. You’ll feel like you’ve been transported to the set as you get to watch the staff turn up the heat. You can choose from many of Ramsay’s specialties, including Beef Wellington and our personal favorite Sticky Toffee Pudding. If you’re a big Gordon Ramsay fan, you can also check out one the five other different Ramsay restaurants in Las Vegas:

  • Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill (Caesars Palace)

  • Gordon Ramsay Burger (Flamingo & Planet Hollywood)

  • Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips (LINQ Promenade)

  • Ramsay’s Kitchen (Harrah’s)

  • Gordon Ramsay Steak (Paris)

Make a reservation as early as you can. This restaurant books up fast. If your family likes seeing all the action, for a small upcharge, you can book a table with a view of the kitchen. Reservations are available for both lunch and dinner.

4. Black Tap Craft Burgers

Price Range: $$ | Website

Black Tap Las Vegas is located at the Venetian and is home to the CrazyShake®. The origin of these over-the-top drinks is a bit milky, but most believe they originated in a Pâtissez cafe in Australia. There they were called “freakshakes” and became popular due to their taste and Instagram worthy photo opportunities.

At the Black Tap Las Vegas you can order over-the-top milkshakes topped with the craziest options. For example, Fruity Pebbles fans will love the Bam Bam Shake with a vanilla frosted rim with fruity pebbles topped with a fruity pebble rice Krispy treat, strawberry pop tart, Laffy Taffy, whipped cream & a cherry. There are ten unique varieties in addition to traditional milkshakes, and they can all be paired with craft burgers and fries.

Be sure to choose a seat on the patio. Here you can watch the gondolas on the Venetian Canal or just check out the sights on the Las Vegas strip.

5. Secret Pizza

Price Range: $-$$ | Website

Just getting to this pizza place is an adventure! It is so secret you won’t even find it on the official hotel website. But we’ll give you a hint and let you know that it’s located in the Boulevard Tower.

We can’t tell you the rest - that’s the secret. There are no signs outside the restaurant, so you and your little sleuths will have to figure it out. But once you find it, you won’t be disappointed.

Secret Pizza offers New York Style Pizza - either by the pie or by the slice. There isn’t a lot of seating - mostly just high-top counters to enjoy your pizza from or you can take it to go. Instead, take your pizza over to Block 16 - the food hall on the 2nd Floor.

There is a cool souvenir opportunity at this hotel - the Art-O-Matic. These are former cigarette machines turned into small art vending machines. This is a great way to pick up a unique one-of-a-kind souvenir for about the same price as a slice of pizza.

6. NETFLIX BITES

Price Range: $$ | Website

Does your family love to binge-watch Netflix? If so, this is the perfect restaurant for you! This unique restaurant is located inside the MGM Grand Hotel.

All the food on the menu is inspired by your favorite Netflix hits. There are chicken nuggets influenced by the Red Light, Green Light Squid Game and a breakfast platter inspired by Stranger Things Eleven’s favorite foods. There’s also a kid's menu! To finish off the meal you get to decide “Is it cake?”.

There’s a Monorail stop at this hotel. The monorail is a great way to get from one end of the strip to the other. It’s also a way to beat the summer heat. It runs from MGM Grand on the south end of the Strip to the Sahara Las Vegas at the north end of the Strip.

7. Terrace Pointe Café

Price Range: $$ | Website

Located at the Wynn, Terrace Pointe Café is open for breakfast and lunch daily. Although they do not have a kid’s menu, their regular menu is very kid friendly. One of our favorite things is the Vegan Smore Chocolate Shake. It is absolutely delicious and comes with two chocolate chip cookies!

The Wynn is also known for their attention to detail when it comes to allergies. They can accommodate virtually any dietary restriction safely and they can also accommodate those who do not eat pork. However, Wynn does not have a kosher kitchen so keep that in mind if it’s important to you and your family.

8. Allegro

Price Range: $$-$$$ | Website

Allegro is another kid friendly dinner option at the Wynn. It offers delicious Italian-inspired food from a true Italian chef. Keep in mind that many “traditional” Italian dishes in America are not Italian. For example, in Italy they don’t serve spaghetti with meatballs - they are two separate dishes. Also, they believe less is more when it comes to sauce. Finally, they don’t serve traditional garlic bread. However, Chef Enzo has created his own version of garlic bread - be sure to order it for the table!

However, you will find many of your family favorites on the menu including lasagna, wood-fired pizza, and the biggest chicken parmesan you have ever seen (we aren’t kidding, it’s massive and incredibly tasty!) The portion sizes are very generous here, plenty for kids to share.

As with all the restaurants at Wynn & Encore, allergies and dietary restrictions can be accommodated - Celiac friends will love the gluten-free pasta and bread!

The restaurant does offer highchairs for younger guests, however, there is no children’s menu. The seating at this restaurant is tight, so keep in mind that all strollers need to be left outside the restaurant.

Ask to meet Chef Enzo! He is very approachable and loves to share information about the food at his restaurant.

We hope you and your family enjoy one of these 8 family friendly restaurants the next time you are visiting Las Vegas. Bon appétit!
