NFR Rodeo Finals

The 2025 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR) gallops back into Las Vegas from December 4–13, bringing ten nights of electrifying rodeo action to the Thomas & Mack Center - and it’s not just for die-hard fans! You and your family will find plenty to love, from the high-energy competitions featuring the world’s top cowboys and cowgirls to the immersive Western experiences spread across the city. Whether you're cheering from the stands or exploring the Western lifestyle off the arena floor, NFR 2025 offers a thrilling and unforgettable family adventure.

This is located on the UNLV campus. Several non-casino hotels border the campus for a family-friendly option.


Cowboy Christmas

Even if you are not a rodeo fan, Cowboy Christmas is a must-see holiday extravaganza for you and your family while visiting Las Vegas in December. Held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, this event transforms over 500,000 square feet into a Western wonderland.

With more than 375 exhibitors offering everything from handcrafted leather goods and cowboy boots to custom jewelry and home décor, it’s the ultimate shopping experience. Kids can meet Santa, write letters in the festive Cowboy Christmas Village, and enjoy live entertainment on the Ariat Rodeo Live Stage. Whether you're hunting for unique gifts or soaking up the rodeo spirit, Cowboy Christmas blends holiday cheer with cowboy culture in unforgettable ways.

The event is FREE, and many hotels offer complimentary shuttle buses to the convention center during Cowboy Christmas.


Helldorado

The Helldorado Days Rodeo in Las Vegas is a high-energy celebration of Western heritage that’s perfect for families looking to experience cowboy culture together. Held at the CORE Arena in downtown Vegas, November 7-8, 2025, this two-day event features thrilling PRCA and WPRA-sanctioned competitions like bull riding, barrel racing, and even Mutton Bustin’, where fearless kids ride sheep for glory.

Beyond the arena, families can enjoy the Carnival Fun Zone, a cozy petting zoo, and open-air line dancing sessions that welcome all skill levels. With themed nights like Neon Night and Patriotism Night, plus live entertainment and food vendors, Helldorado Days blends rodeo excitement with family-friendly fun in a way that’s uniquely Vegas.

South Point Arena & Equestrian Center

The South Point Arena & Equestrian Center in Las Vegas is a hub for rodeo-related excitement year-round, especially during the National Finals Rodeo season. Families can catch thrilling events like the National Finals Breakaway Roping, Benny Binion’s Bucking Horse and Bull Sale, and the Ariat World Series of Team Roping Finale, all hosted in the state-of-the-art arena.

Beyond the competitions, the venue also features the Miss Rodeo America Pageant and the Cinch Western Gift Show, offering interactive experiences, shopping, and entertainment for all ages. With free public access to many events and a welcoming Western atmosphere, South Point is the perfect place for families to dive into the rodeo spirit together.

South Point Casino also has a bowling alley and movie theater if you’re looking for more family fun!


Zac Brown Band @ The sphere

The Zac Brown Band is bringing their “Love & Fear” show to the Sphere in Las Vegas for a limited engagement from December 5, 2025, to January 10, 2026!

This immersive concert experience blends the band’s signature Southern rock and country soul with cutting-edge visuals on the world’s highest-resolution LED screen, wrapping audiences in a 360-degree journey through Zac Brown’s life, heartbreak, and redemption. Families and fans alike can expect a powerful mix of storytelling, beloved hits, and transformative new music, all delivered in a venue designed to make every note and lyric feel larger than life.

Dolly Parton

Country music icon Dolly Parton is making a dazzling return to Las Vegas with her limited-run residency, Dolly: Live in Las Vegas, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from December 4–13, 2025.

This marks her first extended Vegas engagement in over three decades, and you can expect a heartfelt, hit-packed concert experience featuring classics like “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” and “I Will Always Love You”. With six unforgettable performances timed to coincide with the National Finals Rodeo, Dolly’s show blends her signature storytelling, rhinestone-studded glamour, and timeless vocals in one of the Strip’s most iconic venues.

Jason Aldean’s Kitchen

Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Bar on the Las Vegas Strip offers a lively, family-friendly atmosphere that blends Southern comfort food with country music flair. Ole Red is located directly in front of the Horseshoe Casino on Las Vegas Blvd. Open from 11 a.m., the restaurant welcomes all ages to enjoy hearty comfort food like fried chicken, burgers, and mac & cheese while soaking in live country music from rising stars on stage.

While the vibe gets rowdier at night, families can enjoy rooftop views, toe-tapping tunes, and a laid-back atmosphere earlier in the day, making it a great stop for lunch or an afternoon break with a little Nashville flair.
